Ive installled slackware version 11.0(kernel 2.4.33) recently.When i give ifconfig -a it shows only the loopback interface and eth0 is not detected...So i m trying to install the realtek driver 8139(as i ve got realtek 8139 NIC in my pc)(i guess if its the solution).. Please tell me is this the right step to solve the problem.. If yes : Please some one help me debugging the source code for realtek 9139 NIC driver (for kernel 2.4.33 )I m getting some errors in compile time.... i am using the driver source code on the following link...(please replace the 'dot' by'.') www dot opendrivers dot com/freedownload/215737/realtek-rtl8139c_plus-driver-1.60-linux-kernel-2.4.x-download.html please correct it or otherwise tell me the url for an error free source code.... there are 4 errors... regarding non declared variables....and macro definitions.... please compile the code in gcc.... the file name is.... rtl8139too.c If no: Please tell me how to trouble shooot the problem....and get the internet running on my pc... i m using a broadband connection..
